Doctors may approve patients for any condition they believe benefits from treatment, including: AIDS, Alzheimer's agitation, ALS, anxiety, autism with aggression, cancer, chronic migraines, cirrhosis, glaucoma, HIV, PTSD, terminal illness, and conditions causing cachexia, severe pain, nausea, seizures, or muscle spasms.

Delaware allows practitioners to recommend cannabis for any condition deemed beneficial for treatment.

No. Cannabis's federal illegality means most insurers won't cover costs, despite valid state cards.

Delaware only grants access to medical cannabis to those with approved medical marijuana cards. Adult possession over 21 is legal, but retail sales began 2025.

Evaluations take minutes without appointments. Delaware approves applications within 45 days of receipt.
